halo! i'm idola (or raphi), i'm a 20 year old from canada! i'm a nonbinary (they/fae) bisexual, i'm middle eastern. i'm a hobbyist illustrator who wants to improve!!! i've been drawing, watching anime, reading manga and playing visual novels since i was 9 (2014). i started digitally drawing in 2019 and i've been trying to improve seriously since 2022. i also was an AMV editor on instagram from the years of 2017-2023, i don't edit much anymore but i still retain my skills!

i say that i seriously got into anime when i was 9 but i was watching stuff like pokemon, naruto, ghibli prior to that, so really i've TECHNICALLY ASHUALLY been watching anime all my life. my first anime was fairy tail, i was introduced by this really sweet girl in the same class as me she's the person who got me into drawing and would draw together with me. she ended up moving the next year but i am eternally grateful to her to this day. i don't really consider fairy tail to be my first real anime, to me it's clannad. i got a lot of my anime taste from my older brother like gurren lagann, steins;gate and more. ask me for myanimelist if you're interested in my ratings and full list! i've watched almost 300 anime in total....anyways, i would say my favorites are clannad, steins gate, monogatari series, reze-hen, code geass, fate/zero, noragami, another, higurashi, violet evergarden, puella magi, lain, eva, perfect blue, black lagoon, nana, nhk, shoujou fujuubun, sachi iro no one room, aku no hana, oyasumi punpun, solanin.currently watching/reading: jjba (part 3/jojolions), ngo, frieren, kimi ni aisarete itakatta. REREAD/REWATCH: monogatari series, oyasumi punpun.characters i love dearly (animanga, games other media);

my music typically varies, but genres i really appreciate are gothic rock, new wave, gothic metal, death metal, visual kei, synthpop, symphonic metal, dreampop, soundtracks, melodic black metal, shibuya-kei and shoegaze, j-rock, blackgaze, black metal, industrial, jangle pop, shimokita-kei etc. i've been listening to these genres since i was around 12 but when i tried to tell my friends about my music they would make fun of me for stuff even as simple as jpop or vocaloid... as well as my mom calling me demonic/satanic (LOL?) so i just gave up on my love for those genres for a while and forced myself into mainstream... sobs... if you want my lastfm please ask! i'm trying to work on a rym library but it's very time consuming.my favorite artists are the cure, alice in chains, akira yamaoka, sisters of mercy, type o negative, strawberry switchblade, katatonia, malice mizer, denkare, zemeth, ali project, asriel, sheena ringo, midori/goto mariko, the kovenant, yousei teikoku, kanon wakeshima, saidan, senketsuakochan, dehumanizing itatrian worship, yanderechainsawregurgitationfactory.i have 58 items in my cd/vinyl collection!i consider myself mopey/romantic goth with hints of gothic lolita, i also participate in metalhead culture and visual kei. i have some jirai pieces but i don't really consider myself jirai although i would like to delve into that... because i don't leave my house often, i don't dress up as often.

i also really like games obviously, my favorite game being nier:automata/nier replicant (i have 100%ed both... or soon i hope as of writing this i'm SO CLOSE to 100%ing replicant im 45/47 achievements). i just love the nier franchise in general and i'm so upset i never got to play reincarnation.... i love silent hill specifically sh3, resident evil specifcally 0, doom eternal, skyrim, a lot of story games like life is strange, twd etc. nostalgiagemslops are my favourite. although problematic i like funamusea's works from watgbs, mogeko castle, gray garden.i play a ton of overwatch i have over 1000 hours (unfortunate) but i'm looking for more friends on ow :). i also have 1000 hours in dbd but i stopped playing like 2 years ago, i play rivals sometimes.. i gues,.. i try to flex roles on ow as much as i can but i'm a supoort player (lifeless clone like the rest of yous..) i'm lvl 150 on mercy EWWWWWW NASTY EWWWWW whatever i try not to play her as much though as i used to. i like playing dva, jq, sigma, tracer, echo, juno and brig! i have the most time on mercy, kiri, dva.visual novel time!! we all cheer! my first vn was katawasho! i love hanako, shizune and misha!! obviously since i've seen the animes, the clannad, steins gate, higurashi visual novels as well, chaos;head/child, va11halla, little busters and mahoyo are all my favorites but i've also played needy streamer overload, nekopara 0 and 1, saya no uta, totono, school days, suba (i'm on jaberwocky II but i put it off everytime), danganronpa series, yanderella, milk games.
so much more but long as hell im replaying mahoyo and toheart2 rn
